West Ham have injury
concerns over captain Nigel Reo-Coker (ankle) and Matthew Etherington
(calf). The Hammers will have one eye on next weekend's FA Cup
semi-final, will not risk either player if they are not 100% fit. Anton
Ferdinand (hip) is a doubt for both Easter fixtures.
City boss Stuart Pearce is sweating on the fitness of midfield duo
Claudio Reyna(thigh) and Antoine Sibierski(calf). Joey Barton (knee) and
Stephen Ireland (calf) both remain out, while Sun Jihai serves the final
game of a four-match ban.
The FA Cup semi-final
next weekend remain West Ham priorities which was evident in their
recent performances despite still having an outside chance to clinch a
UEFA Cup slot through league position. They were woeful against a 10 men
Chelsea last weekend going down 4-1 at Stamford Bridge. Man.City showed
slight improvements especially in the 2nd half where they staged an
unlikely fight-back after trailed 2-0, a game Tottenham could have put
it beyond their reach by half-time. Still they are a team whose form is on the
downtrend and not worthy to be backed especially on their travels where
they have lost the last 6 league games on the trot.
