Tottenham defender
Ledley King, who injured his ankle in training, will undergo a late
fitness test. Finland midfielder, Teemu Tainio who has finally recovered
from a throat infection is back in the squad, while centre-half Michael
Dawson is suspended.
Claudio Reyna who missed Man.City's last three games is back in
contention, as is Skipper Sylvain Distin who is available after serving
a one-match ban but Sun Jihai remains suspended. Joey Barton (ankle) is
still at least a week away from full fitness.
Last weekend's 3-1
deserved defeat away against Newcastle leaves 4th place Tottenham just 2
points off 5th spot Arsenal who played a game less in the run-in to
clinch the keenly contested 4th spot as well as a qualifying place in
next season Champions League competition. They are unbeaten in their
last 15 league games here at White Hart Lane, should bounce back with a
11th home win in the Premiership over 13th place Man.City, who has 40
points with little left to play for except pride. They come into this
match at the back of 4th straight league defeat losing 1-0 at home to
Middlesbrough at the weekend as well as to avoid a 6th successive league
defeat away from home.
