Skipper Thierry
Henry, striker Dennis Bergkamp, winger Robert Pires and goalkeeper Jens
Lehmann were also all rested for the FA Cup defeat at Bolton, but are
set to return for Arsenal, along with Brazil midfielder Gilberto.
Midfielder Cesc Fabregas is still suspended, as is Jose Antonio Reyes .
Ashley Cole (thigh), Gael Clichy (foot), Pascal Cygan (hamstring) are
all missing, while Emmanuel Eboue, Kolo Toure and Emmanuel Adebayor are
away at the African Nations Cup.
West Ham will be without defender Christian Dailly who is suspended.
Goalkeeper Roy Carroll could return having recovered from the back
problem that forced him to miss Saturday's 4-2 FA Cup win over
Blackburn. New signing Dean Ashton is also in contention for a debut
having recovered from the groin problem.
West Ham have got
back to winning ways following wins over Aston Villa (away) and Fulham
(home) in the league then a 4-2 victory over Blackburn (home) in the FA
Cup 4th round tie. They are no pushovers, should be more than a match
for the Gunners and should be backed on a + 1 1/4 ball handicap.
