Manchester City
striker Georgios Samaras injured his knee against Wigan face late
fitness test. So are Claudio Reyna (shoulder) and Antoine Sibierski
(dead leg).
West Ham duo Anton Ferdinand and Matthew Etherington face fitness tests.
Defender Ferdinand suffered a reaction to a thigh problem during
Saturday's 4-2 home defeat by Portsmouth, a game Etherington was forced
to miss because of a back injury. Goalkeeper Shaka Hislop, who missed
the last game, is a major doubt because of a hamstring problem.
Man.City was far
the better team when they met in August, could have won by a greater
margin. They still maintain their strong form at their own turf, worth a
bet on a -1/2 ball against a fading West Ham side, especially in the
league, probably their players have their minds set on this tie. Both
are in mid-table where their priorities surely will be on this FA Cup
competition.
